Passivity Testing

Passivity testing is a non-destructive method used to assess the effectiveness of a metal’s passive layer — a thin, protective oxide film that forms naturally on the surface of stainless steel and other corrosion-resistant alloys. This passive layer plays a vital role in preventing rust and corrosion, especially in harsh industrial environments like chemical processing, food production, and marine applications.
